One Direction atau sering disingkat dengan 1D merupakan boy band Inggris yang dibentuk pada tahun 2010. Terdiri dari Lima pria yaitu Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson dan Zayn Malik. Meski Zayn mengundurkan diri dari group pada tahun 2015.

Lagu History merupakan lagu ketiga dari album Made in The A.M. Ditulis oleh Liam Payne dan Louis Tomlinson yang juga dibantu Wayne Hector dan Ed Drewett. Lagu yang dirilis setelah Zayn mengundurkan diri ini dirilis pada 2015.

Bercerita mengenai persahabatan yang dijalin member grup 1D. Music video lagu ini dirilis youtube pada 26 January 2016, setelahnya Terdapat banyak kontroversi mengenai video clip lagu ini.
