"Not a Pop Song" adalah single ketiga dari album studio keenam Little Mix yang akan datang, Confetti. Lagu ini menemukan band ini menyikat stigma yang menyertainya sebagai pop-band wanita, dan juga mengambil bidikan di Simon Cowell, kepala label rekaman sebelumnya.

Lagu ini pertama kali digoda kembali pada Maret 2020 setelah anggota band Jade memposting video dengan penyanyi-penulis lagu Tayla Parx di studio tempat pra-paduan suara dapat didengar diputar di latar belakang.

Pada 7 Oktober 2020, yang juga merupakan ulang tahun Simon Cowell, band ini mengunggah di media sosial untuk secara resmi mengumumkan bahwa single ini akan turun dua hari kemudian pada 9 Oktober.
